13 reasons why (2017)

      This TV show is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel by Jay Asher which explains the reasons as to why the character, Hannah Baker,  commits suicide. Throughout the 13 episodes ,all about an hour long, you meet the main character Clay, who in real life is in a really good band 'Wallows'. With also the perspectives of Rachel, Hannah's best friend, Alex, Hannah's other best friend and Rachel's ex, with also other character like the closeted Lesbian, a jock who wants to beloved and egotistical gay poet and a stalker who has enough guns to run a terrorist cell.
    I must say you really should be in the right mind when watching the show because it is quite depressing however, the emotions throughout allow the audience to engage more with the individual characters and understand more as to why Hannah Baker commits suicide. The suicide scene itself made me cry as it were so realistic. As a note to people who have misunderstood the show;
IT IS NOT ENDORSING SUICIDE.
     The story shows the effects of suicide on society with family, friends and school and how possibly to prevent it. Perhaps thus allowing people to realise the event to which they allow to occur and to help stop them before it reaches these extremes.
    So I tip my hat towards Selena Gomez who had the cojones to produce such a project and definitely support Jay Asher for writing such an emotional novel, it is really good by the way, to which allows such circumstances to be talked about without a lot of the stigma to which often comes with it .

   I rate this brilliant show a 8/10.

Gilmore girls : A year in the life of (2016)

Now, I am an extremely ;large fan of the original series of Gilmore girls with the fast pace humour and all of the hot boyfriends of the main character Rory Gilmore. Be it Dean, her first boyfriend played by Jared Padalecki who she lost it too, was always a tender about his feelings and broke up with her because he didn't belong in 'her world'. Then there was Jess who was the regular badboy played by Milo Ventimiglia who suprislingly was also a massive book nerd yet didn't fully appreciate Rory and his family in the ways he should have. Then lastly there is Logan the ladies man rich-boy played by Matt Czuchry, who never oculd stick to one girl yet that was clear to Rory from the start.

So here we are 10 years after we said goodbye to the Gilmore girls gang seeing Rory trying to break into a very hard job profession, seeing all of her ex-boyfriend and sleeping with various men be it her boyfriend or not. But, it isn't just about her we see about Lorelai and Luke's back and forth relationship, the life and death brigade reunion and Emily Gilmore trying to do things differently.

I definatley cried when watching these four episodes as well as absolutely laughing. yet, to end on a cliff hanger such as that is just extremely cruel Amy Sherman-Pallidino.

I rate this 18/20.
